Privacy policy

What we collect when you use this website, who else sees it, and how to tell us to stop. Written to describe what actually happens, not what a template says.

01Who this is

The Bedoya Team is a real estate team at Real Broker, LLC in Greenville, South Carolina. Bedoya Enterprises, LLC is the registered business entity behind the team, and it is the entity that contacts you about an inquiry you send us.

02What we collect

From a form or the chat on this site, only what you type: your name, your email address, your phone number, whatever you tell us about what you are trying to do, the page you sent it from, and a record of the consent line you agreed to and when.

From our web host, the ordinary server records every website keeps: the address your request came from, your browser and device type, the pages you asked for and when.

We never ask for a Social Security number, a bank account, a routing number or a copy of an ID through this website. If a message that appears to come from us asks for any of those, stop and call us on (864) 800-1988.

03What we do with it

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not hand it to advertisers.

  • Answer you, and keep answering you while you are buying or selling.
  • Send listings, market information and the guides you asked for.
  • Introduce you to a lender, attorney or inspector when you ask us to.
  • Keep the transaction records our brokerage and South Carolina real estate rules require us to keep.

04Calls, texts and recording

When you tick the consent box on a form, you are agreeing that The Bedoya Team at Real Broker, LLC and Bedoya Enterprises, LLC may contact you by phone, text message or email about your inquiry. Consent is not a condition of buying or selling anything, and you can withdraw it at any time: reply STOP to a text, say so on a call, or email us.

Calls with our team may be recorded for quality and training purposes. We use Follow Up Boss, a real estate CRM, to manage contacts and to place and record calls. South Carolina law allows a call to be recorded with the consent of one party to the call. If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start and we will turn it off or call you back from a line that does not record.

Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to texts.

05Who else sees it

  • IzzyOS — the software behind the chat and the forms on this site. Everything you submit passes through it.
  • Follow Up Boss — our CRM. It holds your contact record and our call and message history with you.
  • Vercel — our web host, which keeps the server records described above.
  • Real Broker, LLC — our brokerage, which is the broker of record on any transaction and keeps the file.
  • A lender, closing attorney, inspector or other professional, but only the ones you ask us to bring in.
  • Anyone we are required by law, a court order, or the South Carolina Real Estate Commission to tell.

06How long we keep it

If you inquire and we never work together, we keep your contact record until you ask us to delete it. If we do work together, South Carolina requires a real estate brokerage to keep transaction records for a set period after closing, and our brokerage keeps the file for at least that long.

07Your choices

South Carolina does not currently give consumers a statutory right to demand a copy of their data the way California and some other states do. We will answer the request anyway.

  • Stop the texts: reply STOP to any message from us.
  • Stop the calls and emails: tell any of us, or email carlos@thebedoyagroup.com.
  • Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email the same address and we will answer.
  • Ask not to be recorded on a call: say so and we will stop.

08Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. The chat widget may store a small amount of data in your browser so a conversation survives a page change. The full detail is on our cookie page.

09Children

This site is for adults buying and selling property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

10Security, and a warning about wire fraud

We protect what you send us, but no website or email account is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a message you send us over the internet cannot be intercepted.

Wire fraud is real and it targets home buyers. We will never email you wiring instructions, and we will never email you a change to wiring instructions. Before you send money for a closing, call your closing attorney's office at a number you looked up yourself, not one in an email, and confirm the details by voice.

11Changes to this policy

If we start doing something new with your information — analytics, for example, or a new service provider — we change this page at the same time and move the date at the top. There is no version of this policy that describes something the site does not do.
